Paula Young, M.D.
Dr. Paula Young joined Commonwealth Neonatology in 2006 upon completion of her Neonatal-Perinatal fellowhip at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia and her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. During her fellowship, she made several presentations and received awards, including an NIH supplemental grant for her research studying the effects alcohol on the unborn fetus.
Dr. Young is a member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine and a fellow
of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys giving motivational
talks to students at area colleges and universities who are interested
in the medical field.
